| I dug through every photo I
have and scrounged up 4 old pictures of the Monte Carlo in
the late 70's.
I had never seen these photos before, and although the
image quality is poor, the car looks great!
In fact, I think I'll go with the original paint color
- Placer Gold.

These photos taken shortly
after Johnny purchased the car (used) for $2200.
The
notarized Bill of Sale says it was purchased on October
18, 1977 from Bruce Davenport of Montgomery County,
Tennessee.
The Options List
from GM of Canada says the original dealer was Capitol
Chevrolet Company Inc, Nashville Tennessee. |

Looks like the he put racing wheels on it which were
not original, but kept the white walls.
The Options
List says it shipped with G70-15-4PR Tire-HWY-FB-White
Stripe and "Sport" wheel covers.

This car had a luxury
package - all the bells and whistles.
It is a true 1972 Monte
Carlo Custom built in Oshawa, Ontario.
According to the letter I received from GM of Canada,
only 138 out of the 17,734 assembled in Canada for US
sale with the same model number had the
LS5. They say that it
is a rare vehicle.
